This Quick and Easy Recipe can also be made at the office for a fresh surprise birthday cake for your friend. The options with this Recipe is endless.
You can also play around with the recipe ingredients. Don't be afraid to add your own little treats to make it special.

The recipe is really easy and simple to follow.

Easy & Quick Chocolate Mug Cake

60ml (4T)        Flour
30ml (2T)        Sugar
30ml (2T)        Cacao powder
2.5ml (½t)       Baking powder
1                      Egg
75ml (5T)        Milk
60ml (4T)        Oil
2.5ml (½t)       Vanilla essence
45ml (3T)        Choc chips
Pinch               Salt

Optional Tips
5                      Glazed Cherries, chopped

  1. Grease a large coffee mug, must be microwave safe. TIP: It is best to use a mug that is narrower at the bottom and little wider at the top. The straight (sided) mugs tend to let it cook over the sides.
  2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Pour into the greased coffee mug.
  4. Microwave for 3 minutes at 1000Watts, for lower Watts extend the time.
  5. Let cool for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Tip out onto a plate.
  7. You can add some topping; my favourite is Nutella or caramel. Some whipped cream or ice-cream with it is also very nice.

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy treat. I just love it.
